conservative philosophy? The lie machine from Fox news and right wing talk show hosts have really deluded a lot of people.

If you tell a lie loud and often enough, then it starts to look like the truth.

This mess was the direct result of disastrous decisions made from conservative philosophy such as, "Let the market take care of itself" "Government just gets in the way of free-enterprise"

The market doesn't take care of itself----people take care of themselves and don't care what happens to the rest of us. Government needs to get in the way of free-enterprise to avoid financial catastrophes like the one we're experiencing.
 
Our financial mess, at least from a federal government standpoint, is the result of BOTH parties forgetting one simple rule: you can't spend more than you take in. Both parties are guilty of it, and now the ramifications of that are coming home to roost.

Our current financial mess is from Democrats FORCING banks to give bad loans..... "community organizers" like Obama SUING to make banks give loans to minorities who didn't demonstrate ANY fiscal merits.... "poll number chasers" like Bill Clinton who forced Fannie Mae to give bad loans.... and then Democrats in general for FIGHTING McCain and the Republicans' efforts in 2005 to fix the OBVIOUS corruption.

This mess lies SQUARELY on the shoulders of Democrats.
 
You really need to inform yourself better. It'll make you look smarter. You haven't a clue about free markets, and why loans were made to people who couldn't pay them back. The government told the banks to make these loans, to low income people, or face litigation. This was classic liberal economic policy.
