Okay, this might sound kind of stupid, and although I know a lot about babies and watch birthing TV shows all the time, I have never had one myself and wasn't quite sure as it never seems to come up...
I know if you are going to have an operation you usually aren't allowed to eat for 6 hours before hand, so what about if you are in labour for ages, are you allowed to eat- what if you then have to have an emergency c-section or something?!
(obviously- not while pushing...but the whole lead up to it)
