Are we losing or winning the battle against malware or we already lost the war?

It seems that removing malware is no longer a simple affair nowadays. Even though some tactics to inject malware has been around for a while now but it seems that their tactics are evolving as well with the malware. Do you think the security software companies are struggling to cope and dare not to admit the severity of the problems? Or do you think that many people are adding the pressure needlessly because of their poor surfing habits and lack of education?

Malware gets smarter all the time it knows where to hide and what to infect its smart and yes anti virus will soon start to struggle to remove it
