im training to become a teaching assistant for primary school (age 5 - 8) and i had this dream last night that i went to my first job and looked at the register and all the names were spelt wrong or completely out of this world names and i couldn't pronounce them and felt loads of pressure to get them right.
do you think teachers really go through this with all these wacky spellings, do you feel they are getting to much and do you get embarrassed when you come across one and you cant say/spell it and the mother gives you a funny look, its like "well hello you gave the child the wacky name not me"
i dont mean "dont give a child a different name to make it easier on the teachers" im just putting my dream down, the big thing is the children, i have 3 friends with "unique" names and 2 have changed their names to something more original (not "unique") they were tired of having to spell and pronounce their name slowly to everyone they meet, it gets old fast!
how is this racist? and i dont live in America (thank god!!) and its not because of Obama!
