Are Total Recall and The Running Man The most under-rated Arnie films

I am not too keen myself on 'Last Action Hero', it's not of 1 my favourites, but each to their own I guess.

I did hear though that the decision was made early to make Last Action Hero, 1st instead of True Lies, as Jurassic Park was being released. I think they chose the right choice IMO. True Lies is another good Arnie action film, but had it been released same time as Jurassic Park, don't think it would have been a success.

As for Running Man, the Amber character I feel was needed really. Some good 1 liners, between both Ben & Amber, such as 'I'm gonna throw up', 'Go ahead, it won't show on this shirt', lol.

I like Total Recall though as I've always been into the type of premise it's involved in, such as life on another planet.

But I guess the real question is, is it real or just a dream:D

TR is on DVD, I have it but as a box-set with Red Heat, Raw Deal & Red Sonja.

I love both RM and TR, RM is on Sky HD alot these days and picture looks excellent.

As for the soundtract of RM, search for John Parr - Restless Nights.

Here you go

As orange maid said, I also love all Arnie Films, and have 90% of them on DVD. The ones I don't are the Conan series which I am not too interested in, and the early 'Hercules in New York' - which the 2nd I haven't seen on DVD.

Most of the 80's & early 90's films had good soundtracks. I like the soundtrack from Kickboxer as well.

When I first saw that midget hooker dressed in boots and basque climb on the bar and start spraying that machine gun in Total Recall, I truly thought I had witnessed the jaw-dropping zenith of sci-fi excellence.

Raw Deal. I like it, though it's perhaps a bit low rent for some.

Total Recall was the last 'Arnie film'. Terminator 2 is great, but the family friendly Arnold is now firmly established by this point. :(

It's alright Arnean, I have it on the DVD when I want to listen to it, but as it's on Sky alot and on my Sky planner, I've heard enough of it for the mean time.

He also did 'St Elmo's Fire' as well I think.

By the way, spelling mistake, Restless Hearts it is indeed

OK Chris - although the CD version to my ears sounRAB different to the version at the end of the movie. The second link I sent also has the 12" extended version....;)

As you said Jon Parr did alot of sountracks for many lates 80's early 90's films.

Just found out that Stan Bush did the soundtrack for Kickboxer & BlooRABport.

In The Running Man, in certain scenes I think the 1st bit is just when they are entering the 1st event with Sub Zero (or should that be Plain Zero :D) there is a background noise played like a bell or something. I recall hearing this same sound though in other films, like Die Hard and Under Siege, but I'm sure it is used in others.

Just something that has bugged me. I've just tried to have a look on Youtube for the scene I'm referring to but can't seem to find it.

Is LAH uncut in the UK?
I like the reference to it in The Simpsons:

Bart: (to Wolfcastle): McBain, I used to be a big fan of yours, but your last movie really sucked.
Wolfcastle: I know. There were script problems from day vun.
Wiggum: Yeah, magic ticket my ass, McBain!
:D
