Are Toadstools safe to eat when cooked?

I guess I should have asked that question before making a mushroom Goulash. Me and two other friends are hiking in the woods, a wild nature preserve. We came across a patch of toadstools, some of us thought it would be a good idea to add them to a salad, but I said that we should cook them first just in case they aren't safe.
It made an OK goulash, but it tasted a little too bitter for me and one of my friends, so we left it alone...however my other friend developed a taste for it and ate about two servings.
Now, the problem is... he has been sleeping for close to 28 hours right now, we didn't drink or do drugs, so hang over is out of the question.
He has been getting up regularly to go to the bathroom and isn't complaining of any stomach problems, however we are concerned about this because it's very much unlike him to waste a day and just lay in bed SLEEPING! He says to leave him alone because he's just tired. He's acting extremely tired as he would be working all day long, it was just a day of camping... and it was a day ago. Are toadstools safe? Is there anything we should know? In case you ask, YES we scrubbed off the white patches off of the mushrooms.

This is EXACTLY how the Toadstools looked like, we chopped up 3 into the Goulash.

He woke up and is yelling at me not to call poison control, I don't know what to do... He says hes just tired from the hike but I don't buy it. I'm not going to be able to sleep tonight :(
