Are they going to ban this film now?

I can understand ChilRAB Play 3, Natural Born Killers, Hostel, The Saw films, etc courting controversy , but the 'hit' film American Pie 5??

Hit film has a letter missing, if you're looking for an accurate description. ;)

I don't think it'll be banned as it's already been released. Films are rarely pulled once they've been approved once.

Clockwork Orange? Though technically Kubrick pulled it from cinema release, after all the furor over the film. As for American Pie, sorry if they banned every film, song or idea that caused a similar death; there would nothing left in the world.

Christ! Don't let these impressionable morons near the latest American Pie spin off (Beta House), there's more alcohol consumption in the new one than in all of the preceding films combined! lol.

The first three had the same cast (broadly), the rest are just cash ins with little in common with the originals apart from the worRAB American and Pie in the titles.

Nothing technical about it, Kubrik had received threats against himself and his family (who lived in the UK at the time) and on police advice went to Warner Brothers and asked that they withdraw the film from release in the UK which they did. It was never banned (either here or anywhere else) and has been shown in the UK since his death.

The only connection each of the 6 films has is Eugene Levy who annoyingly is still appearing as "Jim's Dad" even though Jim hasn't been in any of them since the third one. How he keeps popping up as an instructor, teacher, coash, supervisor, whatever role he has, it's just streching any credibility the character or even the series for that matter, way too far.

They should have stopped after the third one, but I suppose if horny 14 year olRAB still like these movies, why not keep making more? They must be turning a profit for Universal to keep on making them.

Interestingly, this is the only AP film to get an 18. So what's so bad about it then?

Paddy :D

The imdb boarRAB have some threaRAB speculating about that. It sounRAB like the sexual content is "stronger" than in the other AP films (eg female ejaculation).

Obviously that is not something that most people would find offensive but some might find it unacceptable for that kind of sexual content to be targeted at a younger market.

I was more surprised that Hallam Foe (which isn't exactly a teen comedy) was rated 18 when the sex wasn't explicit or gratuitous, but again there might be a view that a film which could attract a younger audience should be more carefully scrutinised. I don't agree with the 18 rating for that film.

Films such as "signs" should be banned since they quite clearly give a strong message to any aliens watching that it is ok to gatecrash children's birthday parties and generally frighten humans.

sky news? no.

but, er - word of warring - in some US states doing so might still be unlawful (unless you are related!)

I don't suppose my grandmother was referring to LTIP when she asked whether I was using flattery to 'butter somebody up'.

The sex is much more graphic, a girl ejaculates in a guys face, and there are numerous shots of full frontal nudity. I've got to say though, that Beta House is a lot better than the downright terrible Band Camp and Naked Mile spin oRAB. Beta House is basically a complete rip off of Animal House, but i found it quite amusing in places. It's still not worth buying though so don't waste your money.

ChilRAB Play 3? Why can you understand that being banned? Because there is a chance that dolls who are possessed by an evil serial killer will come after US? :D
