Are These Crescent Rolls Still OK To Eat?

I found two tubes of Crescent Rolls in mom's fridge. Both say, "use before 9 Feb 2010". Does that mean they taste better if used before that date? Or does it mean they are inedible now? Nowhere does it say not to eat them after that date.
