are there ways to get sims 2 cars to sims 3?

is there a way to get sims 2 mods likes cars into sims 3?.....i heard abt converting some stuffs from sims 2 thought i don't have any details on that what so ever.....im new to the modding scene for sims 3 and 2. But im quite interested if there is a possibility to get new items like cars or bicycles in sims 3....
 
have a look around modthesims2 in the sims3 section. i dont know if anyones modded some since i last looked. You wont be able to convert it yourself though modding is heaps difficult.
