Are there other English Victorian novels similar to Hardy's Far From Madding...

...Crowd: poor hero and rich heroin? Most Victorian English novels have rich heroes and poor heroines. I read Thomas Hardy's Far From the Madding Crowd and I like Gabriel Oak character a lot. I am trying to find other books with similar character where the hero is poor, humble but very loyal.
