I have a cochlear implant, and I really admire the courage of the people that join the military. I was wondering if there was anything I could do in order to be in the military myself? Like maybe learn a lot of different foreign languages or be a military doctor or something? The reason why I ask is because I know my hearing loss can be a liability at times but I make the best of it.
Maybe I could join the Marine Band? (I play the trumpet)
If you are a soldier or a veteran of some kind reading this, I would also like to say thanks for doing what you do for our country.
you are very welcome, impaler19120
and Jellybelly, have you not noticed that I mentioned that I have a cochlear implant? I am able to play well on my trumpet.
Thank you everyone for taking the time to answer. I know that there's a hearing test, but I was just wondering (It was my dream to join the military.)
Hey will, thanks for the link. I'll be sure to check it out. I probably wouldn't be able to join fo a while (I'm a freshman), but I'm definitely keeping air force in mind.
