...a book I'm writing? Ok I am writing a book, and am wondering what is/are the way(s) to paint a picture of a scene in the story for the reader(s). So if you have any tricks, or you know a best way, can you give me an example?
Check this scene out for example:
A drug dealer walks into a room in apartment in a dodgy neighborhood. It is filled with other dealers and dangerous men who he is about to make a deal with.
Could you tell me how you would describe this scene in a book you were writing? What details would you focus on to paint the picture for the reader. If you could just write the scene the way you usually would, that would be the most helpful.
* I am not going to copy or use this material. I already have made my own, I want to compare, because I am an amateur.
**Also if you want I could actually send you my work (the scene) via e-mail if that would help you help me. My profile has my e-mail.
Thank you very much in advance.
