Are there any snails you can put in a fish tank that will not take over?

If I were to just buy one are there any breeds that will not reproduce by themselves?

Any breed of pomacea (basically - apple snails). They have a male and a female gender. Make sure you get a male though if you don't want baby snails because females can house sperm for months.

I bought one recently and it turned out to be a girl and now she's laying eggs.
