my family has always had civics and they are great. they live forever and don't seem to have a lot of problems. however, that does not mean that the specific car you are looking at is perfect. has it been in an accident? does it have a recurring problem? something very expensive need replacing? if you think the price is too good then ask why they're trying so hard to get out of the car. also, have a mechanic go over the car before you purchase it. that's what i did. i took my civic for a day, took it to a honda dealership and had my own mechanic put it in the air and look it over thoroughly. best of luck!
