I would like to know if there are palm trees in Georgia I've seen them in movies set in Georgia now weather or not the movies were actually filmed there i don't know but if someone could tell me what cities or if there just by the coastline that'd be great! thanks! ;)

Georgia has palm trees throughout the whole coast from South Carolina all the way to Florida. The Palmetto is the South Carolina state tree and you can see little 2 to 4 foot palmettos growing wild in the coast of South Carolina and the coast of Georgia. (travel via Hwy. 17 in South Carolina and Georgia) Georgia though stretches north all the way up to the western North Carolina Smoky Mountains where naturally palm trees would not grow and where even snow can be seen in the winter. (travel via Hwy 76 in northern Georgia) Georgia over all has milder winters than the northern states and palm trees in some part of the state can survive as in Georgia normally the freezing temperatures are only during brief periods of time rather than throughout the winter, except maybe in the mountains up north. However there aren't as many palm trees in Georgia as there are in Florida, and also in Georgia mostly palm trees don't grow naturally as tall as they do in Florida where you can see taller palm trees more often. (Travel via I95 in northern Florida)
