...like Margaret Atwood? Are there any other authors who right bad books and happen to be religious nuts like Margaret Atwood?

Just finished Year of the Flood - waste - and wondering if there's any similar books, perhaps as bad as Margaret Atwood's similarly poor book, The Handmaid's Tale.

Twilight and Stephenie Meyer.

She's a devout Mormon, and the more you know of the religion, the more you see that her book is riddled with it. And it's definitely a bad book.

My question is why would you want to read such books.
