Are there any jobs in Astronomy for the less educated?

The only job I know of that's actually contributing to astronomy but doesn't necessarily require a degree is telescope operator. Many observatories will hire operators who may not know much about astronomy (they can teach them what they need) but have experience operating large equipment of some sort (like working on an oil rig). However, just as many telescope operators have degrees in physics, and there aren't a lot of these jobs. But you could work support (office jobs, etc) for observatories, labs, and universities.
