Are There Any International Standards/Recomendations for calculating CPI and PPI?

Do the different countries use different methods of callculations! Why they do so?

Are there commonly applicable formula for all countries?

How many types of International Standards exist? why do they differ from each other? what are their arguments for their methods of calculations
