Are there any free hot desk booking php or asp solutions available?

My company is about to implement a fairly rigorous hot desking (or desk sharing) policy - 7 desks for every 10 workers. I think we need a booking system but others seem to think we don't, so I was wondering if there was a PHP or ASP solution I could download and install on my webserver so that a few of us could try it out. If that doesn't work then perhaps a decent excel spreadsheet or something? Ideally a free one would be great, but if not then a relatively cheap commercial one would work too.
