Are there any easy/non strenuous hikes in Gold Country or the Sierra Nevadas?

I've gotten very used to easy hikes around the Bay Area, and I'd like to keep up with the excercise if I end up moving in around Auburn or Placerville or into the foothills. Are there any nice, easy walks for someone who is A) somewhat afraid of heights/falling, and has balance/coordination problems?

I live in Searles Valley, Tron is the town, and the hills here are not steep but you get a good workout going up, and it is like a hike, not really a climb. If you like the desert and want to walk and hike you could do fine here, bring a friend. It is on the outskirts of Death Valley, and is probably 180 miles from LA.

oh yes there are like thousands of places you can walk. there are trails, parks and stuff all over the place. i live around auburn, so i know from seeing them all over the place and walking in some places..
