Are There any Decent New Messenger Apps?

Hi.

Can I use the Verichat instant messenger on my Tungsten T5? I have a external palm wi-fi card and also use the Bluetooth utility

Thanks.

Yup, you sure can.

Works both ways, you can use the WiFi or use the Bluetooth to connect to a phone or your computer.

Have fun!

Thanks Camski - I've changed the title of the post to avoid further confusion . . . I probably shouldn't have used the word "messenger," but that's the app's title I was describing in original post. I don't need a "messenger/internet" app. I'm looking for a "flash a message" within a short distance ont he T3's screen.

Sorry for confusion - that's why I referenced the app in the OP.

Solution's simple, just FYI. Use MS Paint to make as many 320 x 320 gifs as you need. Download this great 28k program (that's right, 28k!):

Drag in the gifs and set "flash" interval. Done. Load into TealPaint or AcidImage, and you've got your pre-made "banner messages." No external program required, and you have complete control over content and # of phrases.

Paul,

Have you tried BlueChat or BlueBoard, which come bundled with the T3? I have the programs installed on my device, but have never had the opportunity to use them. So I am unable to comment on how well they work.

Very hip, dwinget! Looking into it now. I didn't "notice" on my T3 install disk, but wasn't exactly looking for it.

Thank goodness I didn't "sprat" the bluetooth!! That's actually a TERRIBLE idea for MANY reasons involving functionality, but I digress. I'll see if it's on the disk and if not find it somewhere; think I saw a few "googled" download sites. It's basically freeware from what I can gather.

Excellent find, sir. Cheers.
