Are there any creation myths that are reflective of the culture's environment?

Like how greek mythology has Hephaestus who always makes stuff in volcanoes and greece has a bunch of volcanoes. Basically, I'm asking if there's a religion whose creation myths show the environment, geography, etc of the culture or wherever the religion originated from.
 
In the depths of the mountain jungles of Papua New Guinea there are tribes that have no idea that there are any other creation tales than theirs.
