Are there any citizens other than Manson that has been convicted of crimes they did

not personally commit? I realize that foreign soldiers and their military leaders have historically been convicted on these grounds...but have any citizens of the United States other than Manson been convicted on these grounds?
 
Just because he didn't commit the Tate-LaBianca murders doesn't mean he's innocent. The members of the Manson family carreied out the murders at the instruction of Mr. Manson. Through the joint-responsibility rule of conspiracy, he was convicted of the murders in addition to his co-conspirators.

Now, as to your question "have any other citizens been convicted on these grounds", I can only assume that you're asking if any other citizens have been convicted on the grounds that they are guilty by joint-responsibility. Yes, but I'm unable to find a comprehensive list.
 
Convicted of ordering a murder, but not doing it themselves? Yes. In Wyoming a man ordered the death of a witness to another crime he'd committed. He was in jail at the time. There was enough proof that he'd ordered the hit that he was convicted of it--and executed.

I'm sure there are plenty of other cases. Manson is far from unique.
