(Power, Intimacy, Achievement needs)? Within the classifications of a trait?

From my upper level personality psychology class, I understand that traits are something that is internal(biologically rooted), consistent and stable. Emotions are also universal, so as the big 3 motives. So where's the line that draws the border?

Thanks in advance for the help.
@James Hi there, can you further expand on why you believe traits are learnt, because I don’t think they are. From what I know, traits are defined as individual differences that are found within all human. That is some people will be more extraverted and some less. In addition, to counteract the learnt aspect of traits, traits are quite stable-can’t be changed through learning. Can’t make a person genuinely more agreeable-maybe a little but not a lot. Power actually belongs in the BIG 3 according to McClelland who came up with it. Any clarifications would be appreciated.
