Are the South Indian and Asian (oriental) culture similar?

I find the South Indian (Tamil) culture and, say, the Chinese/Korean culture similar ("Appa" means dad, and "Amma" means mom)!

They both value family, respect to elders, discipline...they live together perfectly in Singapore (where Chinese and Tamil are main languages) and in Malaysia.

So out of curiosity, isn't the Tamil culture more similar to the Asian ones than the Muslim culture??

I notice a lot of people thinking the South Indian and Muslim culture are similar... when it really isn't...

There are 100's of languages in India, the Northern ones are more related to the Persian languages. The rest are Dravidian and yes, Oriental but that is usually found in South East India. So to answer your question, yes. The more east you go the more Chinese/Korean it gets.

Yes and no. Easy is more Chinese-Korean while the west is more like persia. India is a big place.

Answer mine please; you seem like you'd do a good job.
