Are the newest built Xbox Arcade systems still plagued with the same Red Ring...

...issues of the first gen systems? If I were to walk into a store today and purchase a new Xbox 360 Arcade, would I have to worry about red ringing as much as I would have if I had bought one on launch day? and if not, what have those artards at Microsoft done to stop all those problems?

Are the newest systems still covered under a 3 year warranty?
 
anything manufactured in 2009 or later is the redesigned xbox, it is less likely to fail but some still do fail.

Parts are covered for one year, and there is a 3 year warranty for 3 red rings of death.
