Are the 2003 to the 2009 dodge 2500 cummins reliable trucks?

Im 16 and i have almost 20 grand saved up from working fulltime in the summer for 4 years, would a dodge 2500 with 100,000 miles be ok or would it break down, thanks
I Get my license next year and i need a big truck for towing my dads boat
