i think it's recyclable. they probably will melt it and reuse it the only thing that is not recyclable are things that contain harsh chemical try getting a "pamphlet" they'll show u thing that r good 2 recycle
I'm not sure of you can directly recycle it like you recycle cans but you can think about reusing them, which is a way of recycling them because you are putting them to use again. ex: schools may need them for holding rolled up posters.
