i was thinking about getting two 12" rockford fosgate P3 subs and i am wondering if they are worth the price cause the cheapest i could find them was for $234 and would still need a box and amp and amp wiring kit which would all together cost me about $450..but then i have also herd about the kenwood KFC-w3012 and was thinking about getting two 12" of those with the 1800 watt mono kenwood amp with box and amp wiring kit for only 280 new from my local swap meet. I am basicly askin whats the big difference between the two subs? and also what other great subs there are out there..thanks

I'd suggest Alpine Type-R's instead of P3's. They'll cost about $30 more, but they'll be worth it. I have 2 right now and they pound. My so much bass my gas cap cover rattles. It feels like I'm getting a massage when the bass hits. The pair cost me $260 on techronics.com. Got them in a ported box that's as big as my trunk would allow. Actually had to remove a piece of the trunk to get the enclosure in! Altogether the sub and box cost me about $400.

Rockford manufactures all of there things in top notch quality and always uses the cleanest power thats why there things tend to be a bit more expensive as compared to the same wattage in a cheaper sub, the fosgate will always sound better!
worth every penny, have a look into the "T" series as well!
