Are quantum subs legit?? What about the Cozmik series?

They look very similar but their is an obvious price difference..is it worth saving some money and going with the QCW series or just stick with the SPL series?? THe SPL have 180 oz. magnet while the QCW only have 65 oz. magnets. Not sure what this means but sounds important. Also is there a big difference between Class AB amps and Class D?? Thanks alot for the help
