I hear a lot of arguments about "quads being safer than dirt bikes" and "dirt bikes being safer than quads".
I find them both exciting and I really want my own quad or dirt bike.
I just want to know the facts. :)
Thanks.

quad is safer.has more handling power and 4 wheels.or if your crazy and are good at handling the dirt bike is for you

On a dirt bike it's alot easier to get away from bad injuries. If a quad turns over on you there is a good chance you may be dead. Both are dangerous though.

I'd say go with a dirt bike much easier to handle in my opinon.

Injuries happen on both and having children who have raced mx all their lives I am all to familiar with injury, but having a mx bike land on you has to be preferable to having a quad land on you. Just 6 weeks ago a young 10 year old was killed where I live. He was from an mx racing family and was riding at a friends place on a quad. They were moving from one friends property to another and going along the grassy edge beside the fence line. The young boy hit a large rut which threw him into the fence with the quad following behind squashing him. He died before the ambulance could get there. There is danger in both but quads weigh more.
