Are people shaped by the environment they grow up in?

Hello friends, Im wondering if people are the way they are because off the people they grew up with and the environment? Because I dont have friends in this society, like how most people guy they take their girlfriend to cinema and park and good places, but I never had this I never had a relationship with a woman im 25 soon to be 26 and because I was born in environment where people were strong physically, I am training into hard training and I dont smoke, drink alcohol, or go parties, I dont dress up with the fashion, I always been like alone person? What do you think friends?

Yes!! This is very true people are shaped by their environment. Its called socialization. You could look into studying sociology, this is all about studying people in the context of the way they are effected as groups in society, and as people in their own environment.

There was once a study dont of a boy (which seems kinda cruel) but this boy was held in a room for 9 years after birth with no human contact, just a hole in the wall to receive food and no view out the hole. The child grew up to be more animal like, acting barbaric so to speak.

Without the influences or lack there of, in our own lifes we do not exist in the same state of mind in which we do now.
