I am 36 weeks and woke up after only sleeping for an hour just drenched in sweat. I also felt really warm. I dont know how to describe the heat, but it was worse on the side of my body touching the matress. I was on my left side and it felt much warmer than my right, but my whole body felt warmer. It still feels warm now and I am not in the bed... I took my temp, it is about a degree higher than normal, but nothing to worry about. Is this normal? Any relief in sight?
Less than no blankets? Do they make negative blankets lol. I am literally just on the bed in my underwear (sorry TMI) and it is sweltering!

Oh yeah they are. I got them with all my pregnancies! It sucks when your trying to sleep and you get the hot flashes and than cold flashes. One night i made my husband turn on a fan and it was the middle of winter and i was hot than after 5 minutes i had him turn it off cause i was cold lol This is normal it's your hormones going crazy and your OK!!!

I haven't had them in pregnancy but I had them after my first baby was born when my milk was coming in - it felt horrible and it was such a hassle having to wash the sheets every day - I woke up completely drenched. In my case it was hormones (lactation hormones are similar to menopause) so I'm guessing it is the same for you. There wasn't anything I could do about it but wait for my hormones to settle down, for me it was only a week. Just keep as cool as you can I guess.

im pretty sure its normal.. i get them alot also... feels gross waking up drenched in sweat...try less blankets???

As long as you don't have a fever you should be okay, it is probably just your hormones making your body go crazy. I know I had to sleep with a fan and the AC blasting every night while I slept on top of the covers and I was STILL hot. If you are worried about it in any way just bring it up with your doctor next time you go in. Feel better and good luck!

I am hot all the time. My husband says i am like a furnace! My husband will be next to me bundled up sleeping while i am on top of the covers with my body radiating heat! I also have been really hot at work. I do hair and while i am working, i will be dripping sweat. I think its our hormones, lol! Congrats on your baby and remember only a few more weeks of this crazy body stuff! :)
