Are my platy fry causing my fish tank water to get cloudy?

I have a 50liter filtered tank that originally had two female platies in it. One of my female platies gave birth to approx 5 platy fry (i have tried to count them but they are always hiding and darting around and so i'm unable to separate them from the adults). I used to do a 25% water change about twice a week and the water was always fine, since the fry have appeared, i have had to do a 25% water change every day for the last week and yesterday i had to do a 50% water change as the water was so bad. I have been feeding my platies 2-4 times a day since the fry have appeared but i've been watching them eating to make sure i'm not putting too much in as i first thought this might have been the problem. I've checked my filter and that seems to be working fine and i've been collecting leftover food from the bottom of the tank to stop it from rotting away. I've also been using a water conditioner once a week. I have no idea why the water is so coludy! Am i doing something wrong? Also i do realise that platies eat their babies and i know i've not separated them but they have plenty of hiding places and they are approx 2 weeks old now! They were too small to catch and i hadn't realised my platy was pregnant when i bought her so didn't know to separate her before she gave birth. Thank you

first off no water conditioner thats bad for fish if used to much

second it sounds like they are a recent purchase which means you are probably cycling your tank (do research on nitrogen cycle for more information)

Third yes your fry will produce more waste which means more cloudy water (part of cycling your tank)

fourth a good rule to live by when it comes to keeping fish... "if it aint broke... dont fix it"

lastly 4 times a day may be too much to be feeding them i feed every one of the fish i've ever had only twice a day tops sometimes once if i know they ate alot

also sounds like your not doing anything wrong just give it time and only do a water change once every other day and only 25%

firstly do away with the treatment, it only makes more work for you and can harm your filter, depending what treatment it is (thats why they tell you to use it all the time - its all about the $'s)
i onlt feed my fish 2 times a day, when lights come on, and 30 mins before beddy byes.
cloudy water does not mean bad water so get a test kit and check your toxin levels. its only when these levels get high you need to cahnge water or clean up. also if you are moving the gravel every day to clean it, it will move sediment around into the water clouding it up.
one good way to get the cloud out is put carbon in the filter, but i am trying to do away with mine as you need to replace it every month. its good for clearing water & tannins and after medicating tanks but i am not going to use it apart from that
