I was watching Animal Planet's "The Haunted" tonight and a thought entered my head.
On a lot of programs about the paranormal, the ghosts are nowhere to be seen in the beginning of each episode when viewers are being given a glimpse of the house.
They also fail [or refuse] to show themselves throughout each episode of the show in question, even though the people insist that they knew exactly what they saw.
This leads me to believe that ghosts either aren't real and that the individuals who say otherwise are liars and possibly deluded or they really do exist and are, for some reason, camera shy.
Of what do spirits have to be afraid?
If they exist, they have already survived death and should have no problem showing themselves.
Out of the countless number of haunted locations on which every ghost-hunting show has been, surely there is at least one spirit who wants to manifest and has the power to do so.
On a lot of TV shows, the ghosts "try" to turn into a physical form but it never happens - not yet, anyway.
