are mosquito fish the same as guppies?

are mosquito fish the same as guppies? i dont think they are...but anyway, i went to the pet store about 2 or 3 weeks ago to get a female mosquito fish for my male: gilbert, i went to petsmart, and i saw mosquito fish( i know they were), but some people told me that they were guppies, and they didnt even look like guppies!
so if you know if they are the same or different, or, where i can get mosquito fish.
 
they are not the same the only place that i know where to get mosquito is mosquito abatement abatement control .
 
no they aren't the same but they are from the same family that is why people are calling them guppies
