Are Manny Pacquiao's fans helping to ruin the sport of boxing?

manny posts by pac's fans on this board and other sites have me shaking my head in disgust. i can tell most of them are young, have never taking a boxing lesson in their lives, and are only following manny pacquiao. say what you will about people who think floyd will whip manny, but at least most of them are more pure boxing fans. i've read nonsense about manny's bogus 7 titles, as if they really mean anything in this day and age, about how mayweather avoids "mandatory challengers", as if they are completely unaware that this is something that has caused more corrupt mismatches than almost anything in boxing (see: bernard hopkins vs morrade hakkar, in which after the debacle, hopkins apologized and said "i didn't make him the mandatory challenger"). pacquiao himself with the steroids, his "diamond belt" nonsense, and his "catchweight" crap has done more to damage the sport than his popularity with asians has helped, in my opinion. after manny is defeated, his asian fans will be gone but his smelly legacy of steroids, catchweight defenses and multiple bogus titles will be with us.
