Well, that's a bit of an oversimplification, but it's part of the "progressive" problem. I could fill a page with things I believe that side does incorrectly, but I have to fly somewhere this morning.
It's part of the basic differences between liberals and conservatives: collectivism versus individualism; a socialist-like economic system versus free-markets and capitalism; an all-encompassing government used to "solve problems" versus a government that provides basic public services and allow the society to find private solutions to problems; a victimization of the poor versus a free society where "all boats are raised" through hard work and free enterprise...see, I could go on and on, but I really have to go somewhere...
