Are Kawasaki Ninja 250's fairly quick?

Yes they are fun and agile lil bikes. That is why I own one as my second bike-for days when I don't want to challenge the switchbacks on my landbarge 1500 Drifter.

for a 250cc engine they are super quick, of course they are geared low for a quick acceleration, riding one you have to do a lot more of shifting gears, they are light as a feather, perfectly balanced and react quickly to the riders movements, they are despicable to high wind blasts such as passing a semi truck.
The bike is a marvel of engineering excellence how it gets so much performance from a small engine, the 500 Ninja isn't much faster, just more torque, lower end power.
The 250 Ninja has a top speed of 105 with a 1/4 mile time of 12.92, not even a full size Harley can match those numbers

Is it fairly quick? Yes,... It'll get you to the crash site in no time at all. All bullspit aside, this is NO highway bike. (SUSCEPTIBLE is the word Fart is looking for) It is designed to stay in town. Yes it will go highway speed, but not for very long... reliability factor.
Don't try to stunt this thing.... take my word for that.
Yes, its agile, nimble, and good on gas. A marvel of engineering? Not hardly... -and not DESIGNED to compare to HD.
Only a complete moron would use a Harley as a comparison...

Do not give one ounce of credence to the poster whose avatar rhymes with fart. He doesn't even ride a motorcycle, knows only two things about them (jack & sh*t) And jumps at every chance to bash HD in any form and/or context. He holds absolutely no credibility in this community or any other....

Don't see Ninja motorcycle here in the Philippines that often, kawasaki has been making the 250 Ninja as far back as 1985, but they have always had quick motorcycles, one of my first bikes was a 1967 kawasaki 250 street model and it was much faster than the Honda 305 scrambler that came out a couple years later, had my first accident on that bike going about 30km in Japan...
I am now 66 years young and still ride just about every day, I have a home built 125cc dirt bike for fun and a xs-250 Yamaha for long rides in the country with my beautiful 17 year old girl friend...
Anyway the answer is yes the 250 Ninja is very agile, can get out under you in a heart beat in the rain, been there done that on interstate 5 just before the 805 split in San Diego...
