Are Honda Civic HX with CVT (continuously variable timing) parts more expensive?

I am looking for a new car I want this one but dont know about if it will be more expensive to get it fixed if anyting happens to it. and would lie to know about parts too please answer this serious and only ifyou know what your talking about. thanks so much!
Its a 1997.
I meant Continuously variable transmission. I was confused.
 
CVT is a continuously variable transmission. Honda's terminology for variable timing is VTEC. Hondas engines are as reliable as you can get.
 
If you want something more respectable, nicer and faster, I would suggest you go with American or European. 2005 Audi TT can be like 15 grand and dont even get me started with a 2007 mustang.

ok CVT also known more as VVT(variabled vale timing)

the only thing that would be expensive if it breacks is the device controlling the VVT. (ECU and a solenoid).

if am guessing correctly it uses VTEC? Vtec is camshaft to rockers VVT. so Rockers, camshaft, valves, ECU (VVT devices will be more expensive) most of it is down to labour not the parts...

most likely thing to go wrong is that the belt will snap or that the ECU is spiked by electricy.

if the belt breacks it's going to be very costsly...
