Are his mood swings caused my drugs?

When he does not haev drugs he is so mean to me: says he does not want to be with me.
He use to be an alcoholic but he stopped drinking and is using marjuana instead.
when he has the weed or is high he is sooo nice!

We have been going out for 8 years
He is going to chiropractic school
I want to go to medical school.
We are both 22.
 
some people say they're alcohalics and are in fact not, but either way, if he was he has switched his addiction so he isn't doing much better aside from the fact that marijuana isn't physically addictive, it's only psychologically addictive. That means that it's not the drugs making him act like a jerk when he's not high, but rather that he likes the attention that he gets when he does so he can be a drama queen about it. I wouldn't tolerate this if I were in your situation, just say, "Sally, I think that it's time that you stop crying in your sandbox and grow up."
Blaming it on the weed is a sorry excuse.
 
wow 8 years thats a long time

Too many factors. Could be stress. Could be he's bipolar. Could be he's not satisfied with himself or his life. I knew a guy who got migraines every day and he was such a b to be around except when he smoked. So it could be some kind of health thing. Too many things it could be. Also if any of his family or friends are having issues or theres friction there somehow.
 
1.He can stand you when he's on drugs/impaired
2.He can't when he's not

Dump him.

The people i need to be drunk or happy to stand are the people i like the least. I had a boyfriend who for 2 years i could not stand being around sober, but he was supplying the goods.
