I'm in college and thinking of declaring a major in Biological Anthropology, Psychology, or Biology. I want to work in forensics science. Possibly forensics psychology.
I am really determined to do this, but I want to know how hard it is. Are jobs really competitive? Do I need graduate work? I plan on going on and getting my PhD in a related field, is that a good idea? I know getting a PhD is hard work, but I'm a straight A student and scholarships are covering my undergraduate tuition, so paying for grad school won't be a huge strain.
What should I start doing to prepare for a job in forensics? I'm 20 years old and don't have any previous experience in anything similar yet. All my internships have been in graphic design and web programming - so I'm a little behind. I'm really ready to commit myself though. Any advice?
