Are forearms important for progress in weight exercises?

Hi, I'm 15 and I've been working out for about two months now and I'm wondering if I should put more effort on working my forearms to improve my grip strength so that I can do reps with heavier weights. I'm currently using 6kg(13.2 pounds) for most exercises but I realise that with some exercises I get bad form in the last few reps. And when I did the dumbbell flyes I failed to do the last rep because my left forearm couldn't hold the weight when my arms went down. I don't really see that much muscle growth although that could possibly be due to the amount of fat I've lost. Should I concentrate more on forearms first because I'm a student in my graduating year and I can only spend about one and a half hours twice a week on weights? Any suggestions on exercises to work the forearms would be most welcome. Thanks.
