They are a bit harder to take care of then fish you have to clean their cage often or they will smell, also they can dry out so you need to make sure there is enough water. During the winter i get a cage warmer. Also you need to give them crickets which can be quiet annoying having to go the pet shop and bye crickets every week it gets old. So i would say they are a bit harder to take care then putting a pinch full of food into the fish bowl.=) hope this helps
