the last period i had well actual period was april22 and i only spotted since then ive taken two other HPT and they came out negative.. i went to the doc today and she only did a pee test.. do they always come out positive??
the doc wouldnt give me a blood test..

I took a pee test at my yearly ob/gyn exam on April 23rd and got a negative. Took another on April 30th at my regular doctors office because he was going to prescribe me a pill that I couldn't take if I was pregnant so just to be safe he gave me a test and it was negative. I took one the next morning at home May 1st because I hadn't had my period in a while and didn't want to start the new meds until I was sure I wasn't pregnant and sure enough I got a positive. I'm 10.5 weeks along now. So yes they can be wrong.

It is possible to have a false negative, but not a false positive. You would get a false negative if your hormone levels aren't high enough yet - but if it's positive, then it's positive.

However, if it's been that long and you are pregnant, it would have the correct result by now. You can get your blood checked to be absolutely sure, if you want.

If it keeps coming back negative, there are plenty of other reasons for missing your period... so talk to your doctor.
