are Cooked Vegetables good?

dnt listen to any of the people saying not to cook them because they lose their nutrients. all those people are dumb. I still laugh at people who eat raw spinach and say they are eating healthy when in reality raw spinach has very little or no nutrients. Cooking your veggies blooms their nutrients and makes them very healthy. Simply steam or boil them lightly in salt water and they will be great.

are vegetables that are in a pan cooked on the stove still as nutritious?
cause they taste much better cooked for me

If you prefer cooking vegeatbles in a pan, just try not to over cook them and have them slightly crunchy and this way you retain much more of the nutrients and flavours, or steam vegetables first and then lightly fry them in a little oil to a golden brown

Stir fry vegetables in a hot wok are very healthy when just cooked and slightly crunchy. This is a way you may wish to try when eating vegetables, and there are many various ways to make great stir fry vegetables, adding yummy sauces etc.

It depends on how and how long they are cooked.

Vegetables are filled with water-soluble nutrients. Meaning, the more they cook, the more these nutrients are cooked out of the veggies. So ways to keep your veggies healthier...

1. Don't steam them or boil them in water if you can avoid it.
2. Instead, cook them in a dash of cooking spray, or a little pat of butter.
3. Microwave them! This is actually the "healthiest" form of cooking your veggies because it is the fastest and doesn't give the nutrients much time to escape.
4. If cooked vegetables is your only form of this food group, then focus on the vegetables that have more to offer (like broccoli, carrots, tomatoes). Ironically, some vegetables offer other benefits when cooked (carrots, for instance, only have beta-carotene when boiled).

I think you'll be fine, but consider a supplement that provides some of the same vitamins and minerals, and eat a colorful salad every once in awhile!
