are community colleges bad ???
im in a GED prep classes right now and if everything will go the way i planned i will have my GED by Jan .'10
after that i wanna go and study veterinary technology/ veterinary nursing
i live in Queens NYC and there are only 3 places here that have that course
- LaGuardia Community College
-Mercy college ( its a course with a preview of vet medicine)
and
- Suffolk county community college

i wanna go to Laguardia as its really near me its like 40 minute bus ride
i have heard good things about that school
so are community colleges bad ?? like some people told me that they are bad and that i should look into going somewhere else
but i think that there is nothing bad about em i mean they are cheap . the classes are probably smaller and they are easier to get into
whats the difference between a community college and a private for example you are taught the same thing the only difference is that your diploma or certificate is different

Community colleges give you the same credit for classes as you would get from a University, who cares where you go all you care about is getting your degree and lots of community colleges have contracts with the local Universities that enable students to transfer effortlessly if they do the first two years of course work at a two year college. I personally would go to the easiest one there is, so you can get the best grades possible, once you get that degree employers don't care where it came from, good luck:)
