Are Christians harming the environment?

It seems like the generally consensus among Christians is that Jesus is coming back soon, so why do anything to help the earth? Who cares if animals are dying off rapidly and the ozone layer is being depleted because of our pollution. Jesus will destroy it anyway!

Agreed.
However that goes directly against scripture! For the bible tells us we are supposed to be care-givers of creation, we are called the "vice-regents" of creation. We are supposed to be good "stewards" of all things.

Your conjecture denies this charge.

Um...Not sure where you came up with that supposed general consensus. The general consensus of Christians that I know are totally for helping the environment. The way I see it, God created the earth, so it's our job to take care of it. If we don't, that's pretty poor thanks and just proves how selfish we really are. Excessive toxic fumes from factories and things like that are destroying our ozone layer. It's not Christians, it's humans in general. It's not like all atheists do everything in their power to save the environment, just like not all Christians are out to destroy it. And the people who are under the impression that Jesus is literally going to destroy (blow up, blow away, etc.) the planet clearly haven't actually read the Bible.

Where did you get that load of tripe from?!
Christians believe that humans are Stewards of the Earth and are charged with maintaining it al looking after the planet.
