I have a 2000 chevy impala and i have had problems with water leaking in the front passenger side floor under the dashboard and on the back passenger side as well. I want to know if this is a serious problem and what are other common problems with impalas. Thanks!

Yes the Chevrolet Impala is a good car. It's roomy the trunk is big has a nice sporty look to it. It has a nice pickup plenty of power nothing compare to the ones from the mid 90's but its still fun to drive and it gets great gas mileage for a six cylinder engine depending on what engine and trim level you get i know the models from 2000 to 2004 was equip with a 3.4L V6 185hp Base model and 3.8L V6 200hp in the LS model. 2004 The SS came out equip with a 3.8L supercharged V6 making 242hp. 2006 to 2009 the impalas are nice different body style reminds me of the 96 caprice in a way but just smaller upgraded engines more trim levels. LS-LT have a 3.5L 213hp 3LT 3.9L 233hp LTZ 3.9L 233hp and high performance SS 5.3L V8 303hp. There suppose redisign the body style change the engines and maybe change the powertrain back to RWD. If you want some nice performance out of these new impalas i would get a K&N high-flow life time air filter just drop rite in the factory air duck K&N high flow oil filter and if you want to have a nice muscle sound but not loud to the exhaust system MagnaFlow or Flowmaster has a nice muffler that will give you a nice sound and gain extra horsepower and torque to your impala

The leaks are probably due to improper sealing at the bottom of windshield and rear window - try to locate where the leaks originate from and use a sealer to stop the leaks; otherwise, Impalas are as reliable as any Chevy - look @ www.edmunds.com for their reports
