Are Cherry Barbs considered a nasty fish?

Ive been trying so hard to figure out what can live with my Cherry Barbs, but they keep saying that they cant live with anything basicly. Right now they are with White Clouds, and albino Tetras and all these websites are just saying that Barbs bite and nip and blah blah blah. But they havent done so since I got them. Now. Are Cherry Barbs nasty community fish?
 
All barbs can be nippy if housed with long-finned fish. If you stay away from fish with long fins, you will probably be okay, but be prepared for some nipping.

No, TIGER BARBS are known to nip BUT with Tiger Barbs if you have a shoal of 8 or more they wont nip! Cherry Barbs are lovely fish they should be fine with all fish about the same size

Not all barbs, just most of them nip.

Cherry and gold barbs are usually pretty peaceful. Dont worry about it. Theyll be fine with your current fish.
